Lonnie M. Garber, CFP, President

Lonnie M. Garber founded the firm in 1991 and has continuously served as its president and chief equity strategist. She attended New York University and also has completed advanced courses in economic and financial areas. She is licensed worldwide as a Certified Financial Planner and adheres to the rigorous ethics and continuing education requirements set forth by the International Board of Certified Financial Planners. In 2004, she led PAS to be approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission as a federally Registered Investment Advisor. PAS continues to be one of a small number of RIA firms qualifying for this designation which is owned solely by a woman.

Ms. Garber has extensive experience in the economic aspects of divorce and has provided financial analysis and creative planning solutions to attorneys and courts on divorce matters. She has also given pro bono counseling on dealing with financial catastrophes, including September 11 and Hurricane Sandy.

A lover of fine arts and classical music, Ms. Garber is a supporter of the Boston Symphony’s summer venue in the Berkshire Mountains, Tanglewood, where she and her husband have a home.

Jeffrey B. Garber, Esq.,General Counsel

Jeffrey B. Garber is a graduate of Tufts University and New York University School of Law and has been a practicing attorney in the State of New York since 1970. Mr. Garber is the Chief Compliance Officer of PAS and heads its alternative investment division: the Commercial Property Group.

Mr. Garber serves as Coordinator for clients with their private counsel on estate planning and other legal issues. He also oversees pension, IRA and retirement issues with respect to tax sheltering requirements, accumulation/distribution arrangements and maximization of tax benefits available under applicable rules.

Mr. Garber has been a member of the American Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, Estate Planning Council of Nassau County and Financial Planning Association (FPA). As a long time Family Law Practitioner in the State of New York, Mr. Garber has planned, organized, moderated and lectured at continuing legal education programs and seminars in the field of Family Law. His expertise in this area and experience in trust and estate planning and administration provide the basis for his unique perspective on financial planning.

Amanda Jones, Esq. Vice President/ Director of New Jersey Region

Amanda Jones is a graduate of New York University and Rutgers University School of Law. Ms. Jones has consulted with PAS since 1996. An experienced attorney, Ms. Jones advises clients about complex estate and tax planning issues and works directly with clients' private counsel to execute plans. She is the founder of Divorce Strategies, and has extensive experience working with families in transition on financial planning issues and serves as a certified mediator in New Jersey. Ms. Jones is a Member of the American, New Jersey and the Essex County Bar Associations.  

Ms Jones is the Co-Founder + President of Jewish Mothers and Children JMAC charitable organization, dedicated to supporting Jewish families, defending against Antisemitism and supporting The State of Israel.

Melissa Casalino Quiroz, Operations Manager

Melissa Casalino Quiroz is a graduate of St. John's University and has been with the firm since 2006. As operations Manager, she leads day to day operational activities, insuring that transactions run efficiently and smoothly and meet our service excellence standards. She handles the opening and technical maintenance of client accounts, tracking of funds/securities received and disbursed, maintenance of tax reporting data and overall document management. Ms. Quiroz also supports the compliance requirements of the firm.
